Purnima Kumar, PhD

Purnima Kumar, Ph.D, is an assistant professor with the department of psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville, and a faculty member of UF Health Psychiatry in Jacksonville since 2007. She is a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida, with extensive experience in providing individual and group psychotherapy. Dr Kumar graduated from the Patna University in Bihar, India, with a doctorate in psychology. She obtained a master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of North Florida. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association and the Northeast Florida Chapter of the Florida Psychological Association.
